Bill Jacobson has exhibited widely in the US and Europe, and is in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum, Whitney Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and many others. Jacobson has been making photographs for over forty years. Though his methods have varied considerably, the work is joined by underlying concerns with memory, perception, and the dialogue between absence and presence.
A Series of Human Decisions not only preserves the familiar quietness and care as his previous work but also witnesses details being set aside in favor of the symbolic power of the anonymous body, or the anonymous place.
