The exhibition will be shown at Robert Klein Gallery @ Ars Libri (500 Harrison Ave), beginning with a SoWa First Friday reception this Friday, January 8, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The artist will be present.
Dashti's work is in the collections of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Victoria & Albert Museum, London; and Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, among other museums and universities around the world.
Her first solo museum exhibition, Gohar Dashti, Selected Works , is at Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, Tampa, through June 1, 2016. Her work is also in a traveling group show, She Who Tells a Story, which will be at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C., from April 8 to July 31, 2016.
