China: The Great Wall in Ruins Photographs: @ Ars Libri (500 Harrison Ave)

Yueluan's photographic work addresses th e rich complexities of the Great Wall with its powerful representations of its ruined sites. Yang's photographs depart from conventional representations of the Great Wall that depict the subject in scenic views. Instead, he chooses to focus on decaying, deteriorating sites which are beyond the reach of the government's preservation measures.

 

Join us on Friday, January 6 from 5:30PM to 7:30PM at Ars Libri, 500 Harrison Avenue, for an opening reception during this month's SoWa Boston First Friday event. The exhibition runs until Saturday, January 31.
